VioLife Creamy Cheese...Review

After all my hard work today setting up Twitter, Instagram and my Wix Blog, I felt the need for food 😋 so I thought I'd give my new cream cheese a go.Â
By the way...before I continue with my review I must apologise on behalf of my hair! It can be unruly at the best of times (has a life of its own I think), but it's rather warm and I've been sweating over a computer...so it is exceptionally unruly today!
And with that out of the way...
Violife seem to be the big cheese when it comes to the vegan cheese industry. More often than not, when I find cheese it is the VioLife name on the packaging. So I have, to be fair, high expectations for this creamy cheese.

This particular cheese is made from coconut butter, so don't expect good levels of protien. In fact they are less than good at 0g of protein. Â Fat levels are high at 7.2g per 30g serving of which 6.6g is saturated.

Now to the cheese itself. I found the texture somewhat strange. It's almost rubbery. Â Far from 'creamy' the name implies. Â It comes out of the pot in a strange lump. Now this isn't the first Vegan cream cheese I've tried. The one I normally buy is from Tesco in their Free From range. But unfortunately they've had some changes and stopped keeping their strong cheddar cream cheese and moved to something that lacks flavour...and talking of flavour...
For me the VioLife Creamy Cheese really isn't any better than the new Tesco offering. It has very little flavour at all and so that coupled with its incredibly poor nutritional values, makes It a big disapointmen in my book. On top of that this 200g pot costs £2.50 at the Tesco store and will probably be more in a health food store.

All in all I am rather discounted as I expected so much more from this long standing Vegan cheese company and so probably want be buying again. I like my cheese to have a good flavour and this offering really doesn't cut the mustard for me...Sorry Violife.
So  what are are your thoughts on this particular cheese? And do you have an all time favourite Vegan Creamy Cheese?
